The sumo the beginning

This is (was) my sisters bike, a 93 Honda CBR 600F. Heavy, scratchy and clunky, but its still a bike.. One of the previous owners changed all the fairings with fiberglass ones, but it really wasnt a good job...

So, I started to "add lightness" removing, as usual, fairings and seat and adding a solo seat from a Triumph Thruxton Cup kit

Then Ive made some experiments with "fine" Potoshop actions....

Here with my favourite pin-up model...

Then comes the 70s fairing, a classic cone exhaust and a single "sided" headlamp from a speed triple

Looking good, but still too modern.. Lets find out another 70s goodie

Needs some adjustments..

Here we go!

Now its time to dismantle the bike to the bare frame and start "THE SUMO" project
Continue...sooner or later

The Dirt One turn signals

I wanted to keep everything as CLEAN as possible (even if its called the DIRT one...) and the turn signals are always a bit of a problem to "hide", even more if they are street legal.

So, quite easy at the front, mounted "bar-end" style with two small aluminum adaptor and the wires through the handlebar.

For the back Ive built two supports to be welded on the frame

For the front wheel spoke conversion Ive found a pretty solid rim and hub from a dirt bike.

Yes, its a rear wheel, but the rim width was perfect for the occasion.

The hub was the problem, too big and a bit ugly to fit the forks, so I decided to work it a little removing the unnecessary bits and shaving the rest.
